Cobalt Sulfate Extraction Project

AMESTEC provides a metal leachate concentration system for a large metallurgical company in Africa. The client is a large metal cobalt producer. The main treatment process of cobalt sulfate extraction is extraction, precipitation and calcination, and the operating cost is relatively high when the solvent concentration is large.

The process package provided by AMESTEC for customers is the concentration and recovery system which is added before the traditional process to reduce the content of extractant in the target products, which greatly reduces the equipment hardware investment cost and operating cost for the subsequent processes.

The concentration and recovery system concentrates the cobalt product, and the sulfuric acid produced in the treatment is reused in the front-end pretreatment system to achieve optimal resource allocation. The system has a processing capacity of 1000m3/day, which enables the customer to achieve most of the sulfuric acid reuse and concentration of the target metal, saving a lot of operating costs.
